More than a place to do laundry
We turn laundry day into a good day.
Humsuds started with a simple idea: laundry day shouldn't be something you dread. So we built a bright, well-kept neighborhood spot in Arcata that feels as fresh as the clothes you take home. Run a quick load, or stay a while.

Still have questions?
Answers to the questions we hear most.
Do I need quarters?
No. Humsuds is coin-free. The machines run on card payment, so there is no hunting for quarters before laundry day.
How does drop-off wash, dry & fold work?
Bring your laundry in, we weigh it, and you get a pickup time. We wash, dry, and fold it for you and text you when it is ready. It is $2.00 per pound, and that includes Tide wash, OxiClean, deodorizer, and Bounce dryer sheets. You can also schedule pickup & delivery online for a flat $10 fee and we will come to you.
Any discount days?
Yes. Seniors save 10% every Tuesday, and students save 10% on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 10 AM to 5 PM on those days.
How big are the washers?
We run a range of sizes, including high-capacity machines that handle comforters, sleeping bags, and several loads at once, so you spend less time waiting.
Is there Wi-Fi and seating?
Yes. Free Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, and good light. It is a fine place to get a little work done or relax while your laundry runs.
Can you handle laundry for my business?
We do. Vacation rentals, salons, gyms, and small shops can set up regular service with volume-friendly pricing and simple monthly billing. Reach out and we will set it up.
